MOLES/NEVUS
Moles can be benign or malignant and caused by clusters of pigment-forming cells. There are three main forms of malignant skin cancers: Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Melanoma.

In most cases, a nevus is benign and doesn't require treatment. Occasionally, they do turn into melanoma or other skin cancers. A nevus that changes shape, grows bigger, or darkens should be evaluated for removal.
TREATMENT
-
Recommend annual body checks and biopsies of concerning moles.
-
Here at Premier Aesthetics, we can provide full body exams to rule out pre-malignant and malignant moles with biopsies and pathology reviews. Benign moles that are not aesthetically pleasing can be removed with IPL Lasers.
