HIDRADENITIS SUPPURATIVA

A chronic skin condition that causes abscesses and scarring on the skin. This occurs near hair follicles in areas of the body with sweat glands, such as the groin, breasts, or armpits. It is characterized by a combination of blackheads and red lesions that break open and drain pus, which may cause itching or sweating. As the red bumps grow in size, they can become more painful.

TREATMENT

  • Treatment depends on the severity of the condition. A topical or oral antibiotic medication may be needed to treat the infection.

  •  In severe cases, incision, drainage, and Carbon Dioxide Lasers can be used to treat the affected areas.

  • Schedule an appointment, to see what treatment options are best for you.
